The Raven in the USA
Brewed by the Baltimore-Washington Beer Works (BWBW) at the Peabody Heights Brewery, Baltimore Maryland, USA, The Raven Special Lager is named after Baltimore's literary genius, Edgar Allan Poe. Originally produced in the Black Forest region of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the Baltimore-Washington Beer Works began brewing The Raven in the United States in June 1998. We have recently extended our beer portfolio to include 3 more E. A. Poe beers named after his legendary short horror stories.
- 2012 The Haussner project was too immense and RavenBeer teamed up with Hollis Albert and Patrick Beille to create Peabody Heights Brewery and opened the brewery November 2012 in the Charles Village (formerly Peabody Heights)/Waverly area of Baltimore.
